Simple Raw Soup
OK, so I've been staying in a hotel awaiting the move to Hawaii with my children and ALL of my gorgeous equipment for raw food prep has been packed up. I came armed only with a travel blender and a small knife. However I was able to create an amazing soup that I keep making everyday it's so good!
Ingredients
FOR THE BROTH
Cilantro-handful
Avocado-1/2 now and 1/2 chopped into bowl
Apple-1/2 now and 1/2 chopped into bowl
1 TBL Nut Butter (I used Tahini)
Green Onion-handful
Nama Shoyu to taste
1 cup of water
Just throw all that in a blender and blend until smooth. (mine didn't get real smooth but it was awesome anyway!) Travel blenders are just not the same as my Vitamix!
CHOP INTO A BOWL
Bell Pepper-1/4 of one
Avocado-the other half
Apple-the other half
Any other veggie that will fit and looks good!
Now just pour the broth over everything and garnish with a handful of nuts/seeds and some spices like celtic salt or any other favorite.
YUMMMMM!
Yummo Nori Rolls
OK here is another one from my Raw Food Survival Menu, meaning just the bare basics when travelling!
Ingredients
1 Avocado
1/2 an Onion
Spices to taste-I used chipotle and sea salt this time 'cause it's what I packed.
2 Raw Nori Sheets
1/2 an Onion
Spices to taste-I used chipotle and sea salt this time 'cause it's what I packed.
2 Raw Nori Sheets
Get a bowl and chop the onion into it. Then scoop out the avocado on top of it and mush together with your hands. Lick fingers and then go rinse them for next step. Put your spices in and divide mixture among the 2 sheets of Nori and roll up. Soooooo YUM!
